In Michigan, we have some outstanding resources for geneological research.

• The Burton Historical Collection in the Detroit Public Library has many records for not only Detroit, but throughout Michigan, as well as resources for the rest of the U.S. an Canada.
• The State of Michigan Library in Lansing has birth, death, and marriage records for Michigan and many other states back into the 1800’s.
• And don’t forget our other local libraries. Many of them have good resources for studying family history.
